Silicon Passport Terminal Preflight

Check your GPU host before buying a verification pass. No account or payment required.

New to Linux GPU setup? Read the Linux setup guide first.

Run on your Linux GPU host

Requires Bash, curl, timeout and the NVIDIA driver. No sudo. Your GPU details stay in your terminal.

What gets checked

  • NVIDIA driver access and detected GPUs
  • Driver-reported model, serial, memory and PCIe link
  • Current GPU temperature and available ECC counter
  • Node.js 20+ and nvbandwidth availability — no benchmark is run

Supported hardware & evidence sources

Linux with NVIDIA RTX 4090, RTX 4080, RTX 6000 Ada, L40S, A100 or H100. This is the current agent’s supported set, not every GPU offered in the pricing catalog. RTX 5090, H200, B200, AMD MI300X and Windows hosts are not enabled for this check.

GPU fields come from read-only nvidia-smi driver queries, including driver-exposed sensor and ECC counters. Memory is shown in MiB and GPU temperature in °C. Node.js version and executable availability are local prerequisite checks, not GPU measurements.

Unsupported model or missing driver? The terminal shows BLOCKED and exits without payment or issuance. Check driver installation and container GPU access; do not buy for an unsupported host.

If telemetry is unavailable

  • Run nvidia-smi directly on the GPU host to see the driver’s own error. In a container, ask your administrator to confirm GPU passthrough.
  • Missing model, serial, driver, memory or PCI bus ID blocks preflight. Confirm supported hardware and driver access; never invent missing values.
  • Unavailable temperature, PCIe or ECC fields remain unverified. An unsupported ECC counter is not a zero-error reading.
  • Missing Node.js, nvbandwidth or timeout requires separate administrator setup. This script does not install anything. Rerun after the requirement is available.

What stays on your machine

The terminal displays model, full driver serial, driver version, memory, PCI bus ID, current temperature, PCIe generation/width and available ECC errors. The script does not upload or save results, read tokens or private keys, or collect your diagnostic data on this page.

Downloading makes a normal web request; the host may log request metadata such as your IP. No GPU data is included. Your terminal may retain output: redact the serial and PCI bus ID before sharing a screenshot or log.

A preflight is not a certificate

Host-reported telemetry can be spoofed. This check does not validate hardware identity, ownership, SPDM, VBIOS proof, bandwidth, stress performance or node topology. Missing fields remain unverified, never zero-filled.

A basic-prerequisites result is not full verification readiness. Certification still needs a VBIOS dump, measured ambient temperature, an operator-enrolled signer and paid authorization. Windows, AMD and eight-GPU node auditing are not supported by this preflight.

Exit 0: basic prerequisites found. Exit 2: blocked or incomplete. Resolve blocked requirements before purchase.

Basic prerequisites found? Next steps

  1. Confirm the remaining agent requirements and arrange an enrolled issuer before paying.
  2. Choose your single-GPU pass and enter the model and serial manually at checkout. No diagnostic upload.
  3. After confirmed payment, use your intake authorization with the diagnostic agent. Successful validated submission issues your signed public passport.
